Labor Day Weekend

This year for Labor Day Scott and I were able to have a lot of fun. It was nice to be able to get out with some friends and family. Our weekend started out with going geocaching with our friends Caleb & Brittany Osborn. For us, we have always been interested in trying it out so it was our first time going. It was a lot of fun. We were able to go to a ghost town called Stiles for the first geocache. It was really neat to be able to see the old courthouse there still standing. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Then on Monday Scott and I were wanting to go fossil hunting, but since everyone cancelled on us at the last minute we decided that we needed to spend some time with his family. We were go to take the younger siblings out with us fossil hunting, but instead we decided to make our own kind of treasure hunting. So we took some of our fossils that we found, candy, and toys and buried them in the sand for each of the kids in a park near their house. They had a lot of fun trying to find where everything was. Here are some pictures of the kids.

Even though everything didn't work out how we had planned, we still had a lot of fun. Thank you to the Osborn's for inviting us on Saturday it was a lot of fun! And thanks to the kids for lighting up our day by seeing the excitement on your faces! We look forward to many more weekends that we can enjoy time with friends and family. We hope that you all had a safe and wonderful weekend as well.

Camping in the Guadalupe Mountains

In the beginning of August, we were able to take Scott's little brother Cedar camping in order to pass off a few Scouting requirements. The last time Scott and I were there was on our honeymoon so it was nice to come back and see the beauty that we were able to enjoy then. We were able to hike through McKittrick Canyon which is absolutely beautiful. Here are some pictures for you all to enjoy.

Catching Up

So I was looking through our pictures tonight and I've noticed that there is a lot I haven't blogged about that I have been meaning to. So here is the beginning of multiple blogs to catch us all up.

The beginning of August, my dad was out of town so we were able to have my mom over for Sunday dinner. We had lasagna and homemade french bread. Then for dessert, Scott made us his Korean specialty called Pot Bing Tsu. Here's a picture of the three of us enjoying Scott's creation and then a closeup of what it looked like.
